Rentals:

What can I do id I do not have a credit card in my name?

Cash rentals are accepted however there is a cash qualification process, please ask at time of reservation.

Can I use another person's Credit Card to pay for my rental?

No, the credit card used for payment of the rental must be in the renters name and embossed on the front of the card. The renter's signature must appear on the back of the card. The credit card holder must be present upon rental of the vehicle.

What age do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

The minimum age for all drivers is 21. Drivers aged 21 to 24 are restricted to the types of vehicles they can hire.

Do we charge cancellation Fees?

Putnam for reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee.

Do I need to check the condition of the vehicle on returning it?

Yes, and if you found a new apparent defect (not listed on the vehicle statement remitted at time of pick up) you have to inform Putnam Ford for joint examination.

Can I extend the rental duration?


Extending the rental duration is possible at time of check out or during the rental itself. You will need to contact us or come in person to extend the rental. the extension is subject to vehicle availability and additional payment.

Can I return the vehicle outside the location operating hours?

Yes, you may return your vehicle when the location is closed. The vehicle will remain your responsibility until it has been checked by a Putnam Ford Representative.

Can anyone other than myself drive the car?

Nobody can drive a Vehicle whose name does not appear on the Rental Agreement.
When renting the vehicle each driver must be listed on the Rental Agreement and they must present their driver's license at time of rental.

Can I tow using a Putnam Ford Vehicle?

No, the Vehicle cannot be used to tow or push anything, this forms part of the Rental Terms and Conditions.

If i lock my keys in the vehicle am I covered?

No, non-mechanical defects such as, lost keys, keys locked in the vehicle, dead battery due to light being left on, flat tire, etc. are the renter's responsibility.

Where is the night drop?

To the right of the service doors. Fill out an envelope from the black box, make sure to sign it, place keys inside and drop it in the gold mail slot and it will be waiting for us in the morning.

Do I need to make an appointment?

While we try to accommodate walk-ins, making an appointment ensures we will have a technician available to service your vehicle at the time you need.

Do you provide a free loaner vehicle?

No, but we do have an on-site rental department to assist you when needed.

Why is a free loaner vehicle not available if I just bought the vehicle, even if it is bought as-is?


Every vehicle has its own criteria as far as sales rules about warranties. See your salesman and they will explain in more detail and answer all your questions.

Do we match tire tire prices from other tire locations?

Yes, Ford has a low tire price guarantee, just call your service department for details.

Why is our first oil and filter change not free? Every other dealership does it.

Our dealership is unique in offering a special program that lasts the entire time you own your vehicle which earns you 5% back on all repairs and a free oil change every 4.

Can I pick up after hours?

We can leave your keys in your vehicle as long as payment is made via phone.

Can I go in the shop?

No, our insurance does not allow for customers to be in the shop but if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Can we use our Owner Rewards at any dealer?

Owner reward accounts are funded by the dealer and can only be used at the dealership your signed up at.

Do we offer loaners on site?

We certainly do! We have rental vehicles available for your convenience.

Courtesy transportation is available to our customers as well!

Do you take trades?

Yes we take anything in trade.

Do you have a Carfax?

Absolutely, every car comes with a free auto check.

Is your price negotiable?

All of our vehicles are priced reasonably, but we are always willing to work with you.

Do you give loaners?

Unfortunately we do not due to insurance regulations, but we do offer discounted rental rates.

If my credit is not perfect can you help?

Yes, we have many finance companies that work with less than perfect credit.

Do they get serviced before they are sold?

Yes, every vehicle goes through the service department for a complete safety check.

If I do not see what I am looking for can you get it?

Yes, we can locate your vehicle within 24 hours. It is a very simple process.

What are my payments?

We have a Finance Department that will go over all your options to set-up a payment that is comfortable for you.

Do I need to put any money down?

No, we have many finance companies that will finance 100% of the vehicle.

Can I pick up my new vehicle the same day I purchase it?

Absolutely, we can get you in your new vehicle that same day.

What is my interest rate?

What ever your credit qualifies you for, could go as low as 0%.

What is my payment?

Predicated on your interest rate.

Can I payoff my vehicle early and is there a penalty?

All loans are simple interest, which means you can payoff at anytime and pay no penalty.

Can I make my payment on-line?

Some banks offer on-line service.

How much down payment can I put on my credit card?

Credit card companies charge vendors 3.5%, so we have a $500 maximum.

Will you take a personal check?

Yes, we take personal checks.

Do you do out of state inspections?

We cannot perform out of state inspections, but we can arrange them for you.

How much is an extended warranty?

It depends on the term and the mileage duration.

What warranty comes with the car?

You relieve safety item warranty for 30 or 60 days.

How long will this take?

It usually takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete all paperwork.
